States We Serve
Peril Adjusters holds active public adjuster licenses in 21 states. Our core market is Texas — where we know the law best and fight the hardest.
Texas — Our Home State & Legal Advantage
Texas has some of the strongest policyholder protection laws in the country. The Texas Prompt Payment Act requires carriers to acknowledge, accept or deny, and pay claims within specific statutory windows — with an 18% per annum interest penalty on late payments. Carriers operating in Texas face real financial consequences for bad faith delays. We know every deadline, every statute, and every carrier’s patterns in this market.
Texas Prompt Payment Act — What It Means For Your Claim
Under Texas Insurance Code §542.055–542.058, your carrier must acknowledge your claim within 15 days, accept or deny it within 15 business days of receiving complete documentation, and pay approved claims within 5 business days of settlement agreement. Miss any window: 18% annual interest accrues automatically. We track every deadline on every active claim — and enforce these penalties when carriers stall.
